Athens International Airport (airport code: ATH) has two terminals: the Main Terminal and the Satellite Terminal. Transferring from one terminal to the other is simple through an underground walkway.
Athens International Airport is easily accessible by car through the Athens ring road, or Attiki Odos. The airport has 4,800 parking slots: P1 and P2 are for short-term parking, and P3 is for long-term parking and has a shuttle bus to the Main Terminal.
The Suburban Rail System connects Athens International Airport to the Athens Central Railway Station. Metro railway also has trains operating between the city and the airport.
There are 24-hour buses which travel from the airport to Athens and Piraeus. Buses also connect the airport to the Metro and several companies also offer car hire services.
The Main Terminal houses banks, bureaus de change, a post office, telephones, and ATMs. Most of the airport’s restaurants and bars are also here, as well as various shops. Other services that are offered include a play area for children, baby rooms, pharmacy, and emergency medical service. Wireless internet access points are found throughout the terminal and there are business services offered at the IT&T Business Centre.
The Athens International Airport has facilities with easy access for disabled guests. Additionally, there are some check-in counters and rest areas that are reserved for disabled passengers. If you or your travel companion will need assistance, you are asked to request this before your travel date.
If guests are looking for a place to stay, they should consider the Sofitel Athens Airport Hotel, which is located beside the terminals.
