Bergen Airport is located twelve miles south of Bergen. The airport can be reached by driving east on the R580 and then heading north to Sentrum. From there, passengers can follow the signs directly to the airport.

The airport has just one terminal. Airlines operating in the terminal offer international, domestic and charter flights. There are plans to build an extension onto the terminal in the future.

For transport to and from the airport, passengers can use the bus and taxi services available at the airport. Travelling time to the city centre should take around 45 minutes. Car rental services are also available at the airport from companies such as Avis and Hertz.

Parking spaces are available at the airport. There are both garage and outdoor parking available, with over 3,000 spaces. To accommodate passengers’ parking schedules, both short-term and long-term parking facilities are available.

For passengers in need of rest, there is a hotel that has recently been opened at the airport. The Clarion Hotel Bergen Airport opened in 2007, and is connected to the airport terminal. Other nearby hotels includes Thon Hotel Bergen Airport, Scandic Bergen Airport hotel and the Quality Hotel Edvard Grieg.

The airport offers many facilities. There are banking facilities, such as ATMs and currency exchange machines. If needing to connect to the Web, passengers can also use the wireless Internet service offered at the airport. If needing assistance with luggage, Porter service is available and there are luggage lockers available for hire. For those that choose to shop, there are a variety of duty-free stores and newspaper shops. If in need of a quick bite to eat, there is an assortment of snack shops, cafés and bars located throughout the airport.
