Durham Tees Valley Airport is situated on the A67 road. The airport is 24 miles south of Durham and 6 miles east of Darlington. The airport can be reached from the A1 (M), A19 and A66. The nearest railway station is Darlington station. The Tees Valley Sky Express free bus service runs between the airport and the station. The buses run every hour. From the station there are frequent trains to Durham, Newcastle, York and Darlington There is also a taxi service outside the terminal building.

The airport has one terminal and one runway. About 30 different airlines operate from the airport, taking passengers to nearly 80 destinations across the globe.

Both short-stay and long-stay parking areas are available at the airport.

The airport has two money exchange outlets and a ‘Moneygram’ facility which enables people to send money to anyone, anywhere in the world. The toilets have baby changing facilities.
