Granada Airport underwent a progressive expansion program in recent years and today is a very busy airport. It includes two petrol stations and a private long-stay car park. The airport is about 17 kilometers from Granada city centre.

To get to the airport from the city centre take the E-902/A-44 onto the 241A road, then the A-92 and the GR-3402. From here take the GR-3312 to the airport.

The airport has a single level terminal housing arrivals to the left and departures to right. Ten check-in desks are situated in the middle of the terminal. The arrivals area includes the baggage carousels and customs desks. The departure area includes a coffee bar beyond the security checkpoint. Among the facilities available at the airport are car rental offices, cash machines, restrooms and public telephones.

Rental cars, buses and taxis provide transportation means for tourists to Granada airport. There are no trains in Granada and the bus service is slow and the taxi service expensive. Many tourists choose Shuttle Direct or private transfers as transportation means to and from the airport.

Granada Airport has no onsite accommodation, but there are many three and four star hotels in the heart of the city centre. The Granada Hotel is ideally located in the middle of many main attractions.

A short-stay car park is located opposite the terminal and contains 450 spaces. The new long-stay car park is next to the petrol garage on the main road to the airport.
