Winnipeg International Airport managed and operated by the Winnipeg Airports Authority is undergoing a massive transformation. By 2010, Winnipeg will have a new airport with the newest technology and ongoing enhancement of facilities. This community project brought great excitement and high hopes to Winnipeg. The new Greyhound bus terminal will open soon. The Hilton Suites Hotel is part of the airport, call 204-783-1700. The Holiday Airport West is only about 5.5 miles from the Airport. There are many hotels in the City of Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Airport offers passengers, food and beverage services from early morning until late night. Some restaurants never close; Tim Horton’s must be the favorite restaurant for Canadian Airports. Passengers can visit the Arcade, Store baggage at the UPS Store, visit an ATM, the chapel or the children’s play area. There is a Travelex Currency Exchange, WiFi connections and a travel lounge. Watch for people with gold and silver vests with the Ambassador logo for help and support.

There is Valet, Short-term, Long-term and economy parking available. Additional Short-term parking is in the Parkade, Lot 1, which is a multi-level parking lot. Ground transportation includes Rental cars, buses, taxis, limousines and hotel shuttles.
