Alitalia has over 150 aircraft in its fleet. Alitalia was formed in 2008 from the old Alitalia or Linee Aeree Italiane, which went bankrupt, and Air One also an Italian airline. In 2009 Air France-KLM bought a 25 per cent share in the new Alitalia.
