Ayers Rock Airport has one major terminal that is used by scheduled flights. The airport serves for Boeing 737-800s with Qantas flights and a number of 717-200s operated by QantasLink. The main users of the airport tend to be lighter craft such as chartered, privately owned or scenic / tour flights.

Directions

From Alice Springs to the north and east – travel south on Route 87, then west on the Route 4 to Yulara; turn right on Coote Road. From Adelaide to the south – travel north on the A1 to Port Augusta and then take the A87. Travel north – the A87 turns into Route 87. Turn west at Route 4 to Yulara and then turn right on Coote Road.

Parking

Short-term parking is available on the facility’s grounds. There is no long-term parking available for the time being.

Transport to and from Parking Areas

Parking is relatively close to the terminal so it is a short walk from your vehicle. However, there are complimentary shuttle buses to transport you to and from Ayers Rock Resort. There is also a one-hour flight for those who wish to avoid Route 5 and a half hour drive to or from Alice Springs to the north.

Accommodation

There are no lodging facilities at the airport. The closest are at Ayers Rock Resort.

Facilities

There are a few facilities available for the traveler’s comfort such as a lounge, car rentals, public telephones, restrooms (including facilities for disabled individuals) and baby changing rooms. Additionally, there are public telephones, a post box and internet facilities.
