The International airport in Buffalo began in 1926 on two hundred acres of farmland. Airplanes carried more mail than passengers in those early days. Today the airport includes two terminals, three runways, two concourses, twenty-five gates and a huge parking garage. The airport adds about $4 billion to the Buffalo economy.

Parking facilities provide aver 4,000 spaces and offer self-pay parking lanes and express lanes for those with a pass. A ‘cell phone’ lot for drivers waiting for passengers is among the parking facilities. The BNIA ‘Express Pass’ saves drivers from having to wait for a ticket. Credit card users leave through the self-pay parking lanes in the short-term parking lot.
