Cheap flights to Cairns International Airport (CNS)

Currently, Cairns International is Australia’s busiest regional airport and fifth busiest international facility. Estimates are that the facility will be handling nearly six million travelers by 2020. As a result of these estimates, the domestic terminal is currently undergoing a major remodel to facilitate this amount of travelers. If you are on foot, it’s only a five-minute walk under a covered walkway between terminals.
Directions
From the south, travel northward on Route 1 to Route 44 (Captain Cook Highway) to Airport Avenue, then turn right into the facility grounds. From the north, travel southward on Route 44 to Airport Avenue, then turn left into the airport.
Parking
Both sort-term and long-term parking is located by both passenger terminals, and the car parks are totally automated facilities. The domestic car park has five pay stations and the international car park has two.
Transport to and from Parking Areas
There are a total of ten limousine and taxi companies, as well as two bus services that will transport travelers between the airport from Cairns or Port Douglas with hourly departures everyday. Australia Coach and Sun Palm Express coaches pick up and drop off travelers in front of both terminals. The taxis are available twenty-four hours a day.
Accommodations
There are no hotel accommodations on the airport grounds but there are three hotels within three miles of the airport and three others within five miles. Most hotels in the area do operate shuttle transports to and from the airport.
Facilities
Cairns International is home to some of the better retail shops in the vicinity and there are numerous food outlets in the facility.
