Dalaman Airport serves the southwest of Turkey and has two terminals, one for international traffic and the other for the domestic flights. Most of the international traffic originates from Germany and the United Kingdom, with the busiest period being the summer tourist season, which runs from May to October.
Directions:
Driving to the airport from either the east or west, take the D400 motorway, turn south on route 5 and look out for the airport signs.
Terminals:
There are two terminals at Dalaman Airport. The old terminal is reserved for domestic flights, while the new one is specifically set aside for international traffic. The recently completed terminal cost some $150m to build and is one of the biggest in Turkey.
The terminal has two levels, the upper for departures and the lower for arrivals.
Transport to and from Dalaman Airport:
Taxis are available 24hrs per day, while bus services run to and from the airport to such places as Fethiye and Marmaris, but only during the day. There are also several car hire companies operating at the airport.
Parking:
There are parking spaces for 780 vehicles at the airport.

Two of the hotels providing accommodation close to Dalaman Airport are Dalaman Park Hotel and Hotel Burc.

There are various facilities and services at the airport, including foreign exchange bureaus, banks, pharmaceutical shops, bars, restaurants, duty free outlets, newspaper and magazine outlets, car rental services, hotel reservation offices, a post office, and flower shops. There is also a chapel, mosque and synagogue.
