Dusseldorf International Airport

Dusseldorf International Airport (airport code: DUS) is located in the capital city of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is one of the biggest airports in all of Germany, and it serves as the primary airport for the region of Rhein-Ruhr.

Dusseldorf International Airport is situated approximately 9 km from the center of Dusseldorf. It is equipped with two runways and a large terminal with piers A, B, and C. The terminal was built with an underground garage and an access road. The airport has a short-term parking space that can accommodate 1,600 vehicles, and a long-term parking space that can accommodate up to 10,000 vehicles.

Dusseldorf International Airport has an airport hotel and other convenient facilities, such as a post office, auto exchange machine, banks and many ATMs, restaurants, cafes and bars, VIP lounge, conference center, baby–parent room, nondenominational prayer room, business center, public telephones, and first aid. There are also gift shops and other stores. The airport also has facilities for disabled persons.

For transportation from the airport you can use the taxis in front of the central arrival hall, where a taxi rank can be found. There is also a bus station in the same area, with buses traveling to various regions of Germany. If you prefer to take a train you can go to the Dusseldorf Airport Rail Station, where there are more than 350 trains traveling to and from different destinations every day.

You can reach the airport by car through the A44 autobahn, exiting at Flughafen. You may also take the train or buses. Shuttle services for transfers are provided in each terminal.
