John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Located 15miles southeast of Manhattan, John F. Kennedy Airport is the largest in New York. It is the main international gateway to the USA and the leading freight gateway in terms of the number of shipments.

There are many ways to get to and from JFK International Airport. There is rail, by using the Airtrain JFK light rail system. This system is also connected to the subway system, which in turn, can be accessed by the local New York buses. For travellers looking for a more direct route, there are the many airport shuttle bus services. Cabs are also available; however travellers are advised to hire only from the dispatch booths at the airport. All the major rental companies are also represented at the airport. If you are taking a car, the airport has provisions for daily and long-term parking. Each of the eight terminals of the airport has car parks, in addition to the Central Terminal Area parking lot. The ground transportation counters, located in every terminal, have ‘Traveler’s Aid’ desks that offer general assistance to the public.

The airport facilities include currency exchange, ATM machines in all terminals except 6. There is a full-service post office, mobile phone rental facilities and wireless Internet access. Throughout the airport there are dining and shopping areas, including bars, restaurants, gift shops and duty-free boutiques. Other special facilities include four chapels, a medical centre, shoeshine services and baby change areas. For businessmen and women, there are facilities that offer computer, fax, photocopying and courier services. Conference rooms can also be booked at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, which is on-site.
