Leipzig/Halle

Leipzig/Halle Airport (airport code: LEJ for IATA, EDDP for ICAO) accommodates over 2 million passengers annually. It is also sometimes referred to as Schkeuditz Airport.

The airport is easily accessible as it is directly connected to highways A9 and A14. If driving from A9, take the junction at Schkeuditzer Kreuz. If driving from Munich, take the Grobkugel exit. And if driving from A14, you can go to the airport through a slip road.

The airport is directly connected to the railway station through the Flughafen Express, which leaves every 30 minutes from the airport. It is also directly connected to the long-distance Deutsche Bahn railway. Every hour, inter-city trains from this railway network will stop at the airport.

The Leipzig/Halle Airport has three terminals – A, B, and Central Terminal. The Central Terminal houses a multi-level car park, a railway station, and 35 check-in desks. Terminal B also has quick check-in desks.

Guests can choose from many restaurants and bars in Terminal B and in the Central Terminal. For last-minute shopping, there is a shopping mall with a variety of outlets. A Duty Free shop is also available.

Business facilities include conference rooms with modern communication equipment. The conference rooms can fit 4 to 40 persons, and overhead projectors are available for use. Catering service can be hired if desired. Fax, photocopy, and telephone services are also offered.

Airport facilities like toilets, telephones, lifts, and parking have disabled access. The airport environment was designed to give easy access to the disabled.

Leipzig/Halle Airport’s parking space can accommodate up to 4,000 vehicles plus over 2,000 more in the multi-level car park. Long-term parking is available at the multi-level car park and at P2, P4, P5, and P20. Short-term parking is available at the Terminal B forecourt and at P1, P3, and P11.

Transportation services from the airport include car rentals, taxis, buses, trains, and shuttle services.

A hotel shuttle is available to Landhotel-Glesien, the Globana Airport Hotel and the Hotel Laval.
