Malmo Airport is owned and operated by the LFV Group. Environmental issues are very important to Civil Aviation and to Malmo Airport as well. Respect for the environment will be a factor in all decisions concerning the operation of the airport.

The airport has 15 check-in desks and 11 gates with 8 air bridges and one baggage claim belt to accommodate approximately 4,000,000 travellers each year. There are a variety of restaurants and bars available in the airport. There is also a VIP lounge and duty free shop. Other amenities include a newspaper/ tobacco shop, a gift shop and a chemist shop.

A Tourist help desk is available along with a Bureau de Change. There is also a first aid station. Business travellers may find a need to visit the business centre. There is also a postal store selling small packages and postage. The mail box is located just outside the door. There is also disabled access and facilities available for those with special needs.

Travellers with young children may find the baby-parent room useful. This includes a play area for children located in the International terminal. Changing facilities are available in both the women’s and men’s toilets in the terminal. Pushchairs or strollers are available for use and are located in both Domestic and International terminals.

There is plenty of car parking available at the airport all of which is subject to 24hr security cover. Various lengths of stay are catered for and credit card payment is available at the machines.

Buses run regularly between the airport and the city and there are also taxis available.

Hotel accommodation in the city is first class, with a Hilton plus other hotels available you are really spoilt for choice. Other types of accommodation can be found of a cheaper variety – this is an expensive city – through enquiry at the information desk.
