The Moscow Sheremetyevo is a rapidly expanding airport. There is construction on a third terminal in the planning phase. Terminal C was recently opened to accommodate international passengers. It is located next to Terminal 1. A fast train system is expected for completion soon that will link the airport to Moscow.

The information desks are located in the main halls. They can provide flight information and information about the airport and transportation into the city. There is a tourist information desk located in Terminal 2. Both terminals also have a travel agent. Public buses, express buses, fixed rate taxis and free airline shuttles run between the terminals.

The airport offers a variety of restaurants and bars in both terminals. There are shops, including duty free shops, in both Departures and Arrivals as well. Other amenities include a hairdresser, pharmacy, medical office and baby care facilities.

There are ATMs, Bureaux de Change available for any banking needs in Terminal 2 in both Arrivals and Departure areas. The airport also offers fax services, international telephones and photocopying. Both terminals have a post office. Business travellers are invited to use the business centre in Terminal 2.

There are no disabled facilities at the airport, though wheelchair transfers can be arranged in advance. Any special needs should be requested prior to travel.

There is a rail system that links Moscow to the airport. Buses are also available for transport to the city 24 hours a day. There are also taxis available for hire. There is short term parking close to both terminals. Car rental agencies found at the airport include Avis, Dollar, Hertz, Mosrentservice and Sixt. There are two comfortable hotels located near the airport for overnight accommodations.
