San Antonio’s VIA Metropolitan Transit Company provides service from downtown to the airport. Most fares are under $1. Ground Transportation Agents at SAT can provide schedule information. More information can be found at http://www.viainfo.net/Ride/Default.aspx. Satrans provides shuttle service to downtown hotels for $18 one way or $32 round trip. Reservations can be made at www.saairportshuttle.com. Ground transportation and related information is available curb side, in front of both terminals. Rental car shuttles can be found at the west end of baggage claim in Terminal 1 and curb side in front of Terminal 2. SAT offers a number of parking options, including short-term, long-term, and economy with hourly and daily rates. The first half hour is free. Their “Exit Express” payment option allows passengers to prepay their parking fees with a debit or credit card and exit through the “Exit Express” toll booth with their paid receipt.
The airport is divided into terminals 1 and 2. Both terminals are well equipped with restaurants and shops, including the Alamo City Microbrewery and Grill as well as the Alamo Extra Newsstands.
