Stockholm-Vasteras Airport is a small attractive airport. It has all of the advantages of being in a peaceful atmosphere and everything is close at hand. Even the long term parking area is only a three minute walk from the check-in desks. The lines are usually short when they even exist. This is despite the fact that it has an annual capacity of approximately 2,000,000 passengers and only four check-in desks and four gates.

The one restaurant called the Sky Bistro is located in the check hall. It serves hot food, sandwiches, snacks and complete meals. When the weather permits in the summer there is an outdoor area where the passengers can enjoy a beverage or meal.

There is a store where you can buy a book or newspaper to read on your journey. There are also toys for the younger travellers. There is a bar in the departure lounge that serves drinks and light snacks. The café and bar are open to coordinate with flight departures.

The departure lounge also has a modern Euroshop. It carries exclusive perfumes and some exquisite crystal glassware from famous Smalandska glassmakers of Orrefors and Kosta. They are all affordably priced. The store runs special offers every month for well known perfumes for both men and women. A duty free shop is also available however new regulations allow only those travelling outside of the EU to purchase duty free items.

There is parking available near the terminal building. Public transportation includes trains, buses and taxis.

There are several good hotels in Vasteras including an Ibis and a First Hotel Plaza. Other types of accommodation are also available if you are looking for a less expensive option.
