Wroclaw Airport

Copernicus Wroclaw Airport, IATA code WRO, is one of the many airports in Poland that serves both international and domestic flights. It is located 10km from the city and has two terminals, one for cargo and one for passengers. While the airport only has one terminal to serve all passengers, it is divided into different areas for domestic and international flights.

The airport has excellent road links and is easily accessible by car, taxi or bus. Car parks are available for passengers arriving in their own vehicles. Taxi fares are reasonably priced at around PLN 40 for the journey to or from the town centre. The bus is a cheaper alternative, at around PLN 2 plus a surcharge of PLN 1, if your luggage exceeds 120cm in length. The service, route number 406, operates between the main railway station bus stop in the town centre and the airport terminal. RyanAir passengers can make use of the shuttle service that is provided by the airline.

Some of the facilities that you will find at Copernicus Airport are the usual food outlets, like coffee shops, restaurants and snack bars. There are also car rental booths, a post office, first aid services and a convenient baby care room. The international departure area also has a duty free shop. For more details of the facilities and services, including flight arrival and departure information, visit the official airport website at www.airport.wroclaw.pl.

The nearest hotel to the airport is the small, fifteen room, Karczma Rzym, which is just under 4km away. There are numerous hotels, with a variety of ratings, to be found in the city of Wroclaw.
