Cheap flights to Darwin International Airport (DRW)

Jetstar Airways, a low-cost carrier, has recently expressed an interest in developing Darwin International for the purposes of being a hub for flights to Asia. Currently, Darwin serves all of the Northern Territory and all of Australia’s main cities except for Canberra. Interestingly enough, the runway at Darwin has been designated as an emergency landing strip for the any space shuttle.
Directions
The airport is located thirteen miles northeast of the Darwin city centre in the suburb of Marrara. From the west, take Route 1 east to Bagot Road; turn left. Continue to McMillans Road; turn right to Henry Wrigley Drive and proceed into the airport grounds.
From the east, travel west on Route 1 to Vanderlin Drive and turn right to McMillans Road. Continue to Henry Wrigley Drive; turn left and proceed into the airport grounds.
Parking
Parking is directly in front of the terminal and offers both long term and short-term parking. Parking for disabled individuals is conveniently located immediately to the left-hand side of the terminal.
Transport to and from Parking Areas
The parking facility is so close to the terminal that no transport is necessary, however there are wheelchairs for the disabled.
Accommodation
Located approximately 350 meters from the terminal is the Darwin Airport Resort and is situated between Darwin city centre and Darwin’s major shopping centre at Casuarina.
Facilities
The terminal has numerous amenities and facilities including food outlets and shops, arcade machines, baby-changing facilities, a foreign currency exchange, postal box, public showers, telephones, toilets and wireless internet hotspots.
