The LaSarre airport in Quebec Canada is 13.9 km northeast of the town of LaSarre. It has an asphalt runway about 6600ft long and 100 ft wide with a sea elevation of 1100ft. There is no Classification for runway weight-bearing capacity for a single aircraft. Runway lights have edge intensity.

There are not regular incoming and outgoing flights scheduled. Lighting intensity is medium and incoming flights require prior arrangement. There are no regular Control Tower hours. For flight availability go to:
http://www.flightstats.com/go/FlightAvailability/flightAvailabilityByRoute.do

The closest overnight accommodations are about 10 miles distant. Check at the Motel Villa Mon Repos, at 819-333-2224. The closest parish is Alberta, Canada. The airport is situated near Pincher Creek.

The last physical inspection date for the airport is not available and the facility owner or manager does the physical inspections. There is AVGAS JET fuel available 24 hours a day. Bottled Oxygen for public use is available at the airport as is bulk oxygen for airplane repair devices.

The FFA location identifier is ZPC. The US Treasury lists the airport as an International Airport of entry for Customs. The certification allows Military or Civic use of the facilities with landing rights granted to the Military. The airport must be available for use in a national emergency.

There is no website for this airport and very little information is available. It is the only airport in La Sarre, which appears to be a very small town or city. It appears that the airport is used more by private pilots with pre-arranged plans with the On Call manager or operator.

There is no information available about transport to and from the airport but it is safe to assume that there will be a local taxi service. Argus Car Hire has an office in La Sarre.

The Island of Corsica is serviced by Ajaccio-Campo dell’Oro Airport, more commonly known as Ajaccio Airport, IATA code AJA. This airport is the 11th most important in France and it is the premier gateway for the island of Corsica. There is a single terminal, which covers an area of 17,000sqm.

To get to Ajaccio Airport, you can use one of the many different transportation services that are available, including taxis, rail, buses and shuttles. While taking a taxi, from anywhere in the city, is probably the easiest way to go, you can also make considerable savings by taking the buses that operate a regular service to and from the airport all day long. Trains also operate from the airport and are a useful alternative. Full details of the various services can be obtained by phoning the relevant rail or bus operator. You can park your car for an unlimited period and if you are going to be away for an extended length of time or you use the airport regularly, there are great savings to be made by purchasing season parking tickets.

For more details on the many services, including flight arrival and departure information, you can visit its official website at http://www.ajaccio.aeroport.fr/aeroports/ajaccio5.php, Among the facilities offered are WiFi access, a children’s area, meeting places and many more.

The Albany airport is about seven miles from Albany and the site of the first municipal airport in the United States. Glenn H. Curtiss made the first sustained air flight on May 29th, 1910 from Albany to New York. Charles Lindberg completed his flight in the Spirit of St. Louis on the field on July 27, 1927. In 1928, the mayor purchased the land from the Watervliet Shakers who helped build the country’s first municipal airport.

Ground transport links include buses, taxis, limousines, shuttle service to JFK and LaGuardia, rental cars and hotel shuttles from major hotels. ‘ShutterFly’ buses are a simple and rapid way to get from the airport to downtown Albany. ‘Trailways’ buses provide long distance bus service to cities such in New York, New Jersey and Montreal, Canada.

A five-storey parking garage provides 2,400 spaces for short-term and long-term parking. A heated bridge between the parking garage and the security checkpoint in the terminal is an impressive and welcome feat of engineering. Short-term parking is on the first floor and in front of the terminal. Garage parking on floors two to five are for anyone. In front of the terminal, there are long-term parking spaces.

Within the terminal itself are food and beverage services, gift shops, ATM machines, currency exchange stations, restrooms, televisions, Wi-Fi and High-speed Internet connections. There is no on-site accommodation; however, there are hotels within one mile of the airport. A hotel reservations center is near the baggage claim on the first floor.
