Posted on: July 23rd, 2008 by admin

The Isle of Man airport is situated on the south coast of the Isle of Man. To reach the airport, passengers coming from the west should use the A31 motorway. For those coming in from the north, use either the A3 or A25. The roads leading to the airport are well signposted.

During peak times, buses run every half an hour to major destinations. Isle of Man Transport operates the bus services. Taxis with fixed tariff charges are available just outside the terminal building.

The airport has only the one terminal. The airlines that operate from this airport are Aer Arann, Blue Islands, Eastern Airways, Flybe, Logonair, Manx2 and VLM. Flights go to approximately fifteen destinations across the world.

At the entrance of the main lobby there are cash dispensers. For full banking services, you need to go to the neighbouring towns of Castletown and Ballasalla. A number of public telephone booths are sited throughout the terminal building and the departure lounge has a wireless Internet facility. Those who need to post a letter can use the post box inside the terminal placed near the information desk. There are also photocopying facilities and a meeting room. On the first floor, close to Café Oasis, Skyline Travellers Store offers newspapers, periodicals, books, gifts and confectionery. Parent and baby rooms are on the ground floor and a baby change unit is in the toilets on the first floor of the terminal.

Among the hotels that are close to airport, are the Sefton Express Hotel and the Falcons Nest Hotel.

In the main hall, the Airport Information Desk offers assistance to tourists.
