McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas has ninety-five gates in terminal one and eight gates in terminal two. There are four runways for flights arriving and departing around the clock.
The airport provides fifty retail shops and thirty restaurants, lounges and snack bars. McCarran Airport never closes to passenger traffic and the airport will soon increase the number of flights with the addition of a new terminal and air traffic control tower.
McCarran airport adheres to the 2001 Aviation and Transportation Security Act; screening of every bag prior to every flight is standard procedure. Among the security changes was an increase in security staff and high standards in all areas of passenger service. The services and amenities are common to those in large international airports.
There is a long-term and short-term parking garage; valet and disabled parking and an economy parking lot. Terminal two includes a 270-space parking lot. The departures area includes a curbside drop-off. Parking, for oversized vehicles, is in economy parking. The passenger pick-up area is across from the pedestrian bridge as are the drop-off and pick-up for oversized vehicles.
