Montreal has several highways leading to the airport which is located about 20 km from the downtown centre. The airport offers ground transportation on the Aérobus(L), STM buses, Mont-Tremblant Shuttle Service, Taxis, Limousines and the Train. Montreal’s location allows it to be a major air traffic hub flying passengers from Canada to Europe and most other parts of the world.

The airport has short-term parking, Valet parking and Multi-level parking each costing $6 for 30 minutes and $16-$20 for all day. Economy parking costs $10 a day and $55 all week. There are many first class hotels in Montreal and a new Marriott Hotel with 275 rooms is under construction next to the Montreal-Trudeau airport.

There are six runways; 194 check-in counters and 71 self-serve kiosks. Arriving passengers can collect luggage at the airlines pick-up carousel. For help with lost or missing luggage go to the airlines counter. The public arrivals hall includes an information center, Foreign Exchange Office, ATM machine, a hotel reservation desk, café-bar, mini market and flower shop.
