EasyJet has launched their new route from Liverpool Airport to the Canary Islands yesterday.

The airline has commenced services using a brand new Airbus A320 jet and with the new link serving the Canary Islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.

The new flights will bring the total number served by EasyJet at Liverpool Airport to 23, with three new routes to Dubrovnik, Naples and Bordeaux having been launched earlier this year.

Commercial manager of EasyJet, Trevor Spinks said that the airline had listened to customer feedback calling for more routes to the sun, and EasyJet was confident that the two new routes to the Canaries will be a huge success.

He went on to say that the airline had plans to continue expansion for passengers in the north of England.

In the past year a total of 2.4 million passengers have travelled from Liverpool to Europe with the low cost carrier.

The new flights to the Canaries will operate three times per week with one way prices from £39.99.

The low-cost carrier operates over 400 routes from 27 countries, serving approximately 44 million travellers each year.
