Jet Airways wants to bond with youngsters

Jet Airways, one of India’s leading airlines, is one of the first airlines in the Indian market to set up an initiative that will target children in the age group of two to twenty one. It is an exclusive initiative, where Jet Airways has tried to create bonds with future potential customers.

Jet Airways organized an educational event for the children selected at the Jet Airways simulator to start off this campaign. This scheme will allow children to join the group of JP members, and children over the age of twelve will have the option of earning air miles which will be redeemed for prizes or free flights.

In addition, members will gain special benefits like offers on receiving boarding passes, a special web page and a dedicated section in Jets inflight magazines:JetWings and FlyLite. Also, young children will be allowed to share their experiences and talents in a virtual community that will be created especially for them.

In order to kick off the campaign, around thirty children around the ages of twelve to fourteen were selected from Jet Privilege members, and were invited to the Jet Airways simulator. The children were given a simulated tour of two high end aircrafts- Boeing 777 and Airbus A380. Adding glamour to the event were famous Bollywood actors Boman Irani and Amrita Arora. They were seen interacting with all the children present there. A lot of events were part of the programme, one of them being a quiz. Winners were presented with prizes sSponsored by Skybusters “Range of Aircrafts’ only from Matchbox.

In addition to this, Jet Airways, in association with National Geographic channel, has launched a NatGeo Junior Hunt. A quiz competition for school going children who will be tested on their knowledge in various fields such as culture, travel, people, geography and wildlife has been planned. Regional finalists will participate in the next leg of the competition, called Travel Enriches Life.
