Irish budget-carrier Ryanair has been revealed as the worst family brand in the UK, according to a study which rants the country’s biggest and best-known companies.

The study showed that the low-cost airline was seen as doing little to promote family values and nought seen to care or listen to customers.

Almost 100 well-known brands from Asda to Andrex were ranked by 1,500 Britons for criteria including how well they treated families or their social responsibility.

Ryanair was polled as the worst brand while the best was Marks & Spencer, just in front of the Co-op, Boots and Kellogg’s.

Other famous brands to round out the bottom ten include the Royal Bank of Scotland, Twitter, and PlayStation, though airlines emerged as the least friendly sector of all.

Junk food brands mostly featured poorly on the list, with brands such as Domino’s and Burger King low on the list, whereas chocolate maker Cadbury’s was I the top ten list in the report commissioned by advertising agency Isobel.

Of the political parties in the survey, David Cameron’s caring image saw the Conservatives in 26th place, the Libral party in 33rd, but Labour polled 52nd.

The airline sector performed the worst with EasyJet, British Midland and its offshoort BMI Baby all near the bottom of the table.

However Ryanair scored particularly badly, mostly because many parents view the company as putting profits before caring as well as the extra hidden costs.

I notice that the two European largest low cost airlines are in a very bad spot!
    I think they deserve that!
