When driving, the airport can be reached by either of two major roadways - the NJ Turnpike or the Garden State Parkway.
Parking at the airport is plentiful and the options are numerous, including a valet parking service and car parks designated for short-term, daily and economy long-term parking. Car parking can be paid for with cash, cheque (US currency) and all major credit cards.
Newark Liberty International Airport can also be reached by public bus services such as Airporter, NJ Transit and Olympia Trails. There are also express buses available to and from various locations in New York City. Taxi service is also available between Manhattan and Newark International; the fares are a flat rate depending on the connecting point in New York. There is also a mono-rail system called AirTrain that can be used to travel between the airport and various locations in the New York Metropolitan area.
The airport serves passengers of over three dozen commercial carriers as well as cargo carriers and private flights. The airlines that fly through Newark travel non-stop to numerous domestic and international destinations.
Aside from standard services such as currency exchange and car rental agents, the airport offers numerous amenities to its customers; there is a luxury hotel on the airport premises and there are also numerous hotels available outside of the airport premises but within the immediate area.
